Why is it that – despite more and more attractive-looking teaching materials and increasingly more sophisticated teaching techniques – our learners typically remember a lot less than we would wish…? Is there anything that we can do about it, using the findings of the modern science of learning, of remembering, and of … forgetting?

In my opinion, the answer is a very definite YES – as long as we go beyond standard revision techniques and materials. I’ll argue that what we need instead is systematic, smart (micro)-recycling. Come along to find out how to plan it, how to carry it out, and how to make it truly friendly to our early teenagers, in order to help them remember a lot more a lot longer.
