Streszczenie sesji

When teaching a foreign language in the 4th grade we are dealing with a group of learners who have just come out of the safe environment of the lower primary classroom, with its focus on the experiential and the playful. Now they are about to suddenly face a complete novelty – formal language instruction and are expected to change rapidly their learning habits into more 'adult', primarily cognitive ones.

BUT they are still children, the 'doers' who enjoy walking around the classroom, who learn more effectively by doing a physical activity rather than listening to the teacher and who, above all, expect learning to still be fun. So, how do we make sure that the eagerness and 3rd grade enthusiasm stays while formal language learning slowly sneaks in? Switch on and find out!
